How To Tilt a Patio Umbrella

Attach finial to the top of the canopy mainframe by turning the finial clockwise until tightened. Insert the bottom pole into the canopy mainframe. Lift the patio umbrella and insert the bottom pole into the base stem.

Be sure to tighten the base knobs to secure an umbrella. Turn crank clockwise to open an umbrella to its fully open position. To tilt, continue to crank handle in a clockwise direction. Turn the crank handle in a counterclockwise direction to bring an umbrella back to its original upright position. To close the umbrella, turn crank in a counterclockwise direction.
